Circa - Sandridge Barton

Located inside an old stone milking parlour the restaurant is all about sharing and showcasing the best produce from the Sandridge Barton estate and local area. A place to relax and unwind, sit back and enjoy some wonderful food paired with a lovely glass of wine, grown only a stone’s throw away. It doesn’t get much better than that.

Another important factor at Circa is sustainability which to them means:

– An ingredient-led approach, reflecting the seasons as nature intended.
– Organic where possible but not at the detriment of food miles.
– Homemade, buying raw, unprocessed where possible and using everything available, including bi-product from wine-making.
– Ethically sourced produce. Day-boat fish landed in the morning a few miles away by their trusted fisherman.
– Beef from the herd of South Devons on the estate.
– Veg from no-dig, organic farms in the time of plenty.

Come and enjoy this blissful little patch of Devon.

The Sail Loft

The Sail Loft Dartmouth, Devon is the dream project of Rupert & Sarah Smither. They fell in love with this beautiful building at the end of Foss Street in Dartmouth, and were determined to restore it to its former glory, and create a successful hospitality business.

The buildings’ origins date back to the early Pilgrims who set sail to the Americas in the mid 1600’s, and in the years since it has had many guises including a Customs House, a garage for the GPO, and most recently a Sail Makers and Rigging Business. That tradition and history was in mind during the refurbishment of this historically important Dartmouth Building.

With Rupert’s vision and determination, and Sarah’s interior design flair and attention to detail, they have created a unique bar, restaurant and events venue in one of Dartmouth’s’ most iconic buildings. They have combined the historic and traditional structure with industrial maritime chic to create a welcoming atmosphere with a modern vibe.
