Kingswear Historians- Arsenic & Old Lace

April 14 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Victorian designer William Morris was indeed a man of many faces.   He is probably best known today as the creator of wallpaper, fabrics and stained glass windows, but he was also a poet, artist, philosopher, typographer and socialist.

What is less known about  him is his involvement in one of greatest health scandals of the 19thC  and his links to the richest copper and arsenic mines in Europe specifically in Devon and Cornwall.

Geri is a former Fleet Street journalist and film PR. She has a first class honours degree in History and Theology, a Masters in History of Art from the Courtauld Institute and a Theology doctorate from Roehampton University in London.
