The popular Dartmouth Shakespeare Week returns in 2025 with Richard III
Richard III is a wonderful play and there could hardly be a better setting for it than a real medieval castle. The play is full of family feuding, black comedy and high drama, and Richard himself is an irresistibly ruthless monster. Richard III is Shakespeare’s second-longest play which we have edited into a fast-paced, action-packed version that is a more accessible length for an open-air performance at the castle.
