Getting to Dartmouth
Totnes is the nearest train station, and is 14 miles from Dartmouth. Links by bus or taxi.
If you are driving then Dartmouth is 43 miles south of Exeter.
Dartmouth is also a short car or bus ride from Brixham, with a ferry trip across the stunning river. This also means there are no excuses for missing out when staying in the Torbay area.
Parking in Dartmouth
Dartmouth is an old town, so the streets are narrow, and parking is limited. A park and ride service is provided at the top of town, with a regular service into the town centre. Whilst there are car parks in the town and on-street parking, please be aware that these have strict time limits during the summer months and limited spaces.
Staying in Dartmouth
There are plenty of accommodation options in Dartmouth to suit all tastes and budgets. Take your pick from gorgeous holiday cottages, inns and hotels steeped in maritime history, or modern hotels with spa facilities. There are some pretty steep hills in Dartmouth, so do check with the accommodation if you have mobility issues.

It isn’t hard to find clothes, gifts or souvenirs in Dartmouth that you won’t find anywhere else. Feel free to come and browse.
Entertainment
Dartmouth has its own arts centre, The Flavel, which has a busy and varied schedule of films, live shows and arts related workshops.
Many of the pubs have live events, and there are a number of Festivals throughout the year.
As a port town it’s no surprise there are also plenty of events on the water, including the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta.
