Top tips if you are self catering in Dartmouth
- Online grocery orders: just be aware streets in Dartmouth can be narrow, so the delivery van may not get to your door. The drivers know the area, and are super helpful, they just might need you to meet them!
- Parking: check your accommodation details carefully so that you know what parking, if any, is available with your booking
- Local grocery stores: Co-op and M&S Simply Food stores are in the centre of town, whilst Sainsbury’s and Lidl are at the top of town near Townstal
- Recycling: Your accommodation provider should give you instructions on how to deal with your refuse. This includes the recycling of card, paper and plastics. Some accommodation providers have signed up to a scheme where your recycling is sorted by the refuse collectors – this should be made clear in your accommodation instructions. There are public recycling bins for glass and clothing at the Mayors Avenue car park and the Park & Ride.
