Diamond Jubilee Walk
Created to mark the 60th Anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s reign, this 6km circular walk takes you along the Estuary from the town, past the Castle, up to Little Dartmouth before looping back towards town.
With beautiful views of the town, river, sea and countryside this is a lovely way to get to know the immediate area.
Daymark, Kingswear
From various points in Dartmouth the Daymark tower is visible above Kingswear. This is an 80ft octagonal tower built in 1864 as a day beacon for shipping, to improve accessibility to the harbour.
THe walk to the tower takes in the estuary and coastal views from the Kingswear side, which is another great way to see Dartmouth.
Gallants Bower
Gallants Bower is the remains of a Civil War fort, high above Dartmouth Castle. With stunning views out to sea and across town to the Naval College, it is also the perfect place to see bluebells in the spring.
It is part of the area above Dartmouth looked after by the National Trust.
